A Case of primary Adenocarcinoma of the Appendix

Abstract
Primary adenocarcinoma of the appendix is very rare disease among the gastrointestinal malignancy and it is very difficult to diagnose clinically. fewer than 400 cases of primary adenocarcinoma of the appendix have been reported since the first
report
was established by Begar in 1882.
Most of patients are operated for appendicitis of periappendiceal abscess and final diagnosis was established by histopathologic examination.
The authors experienced a case of primary adenocarcinoma of the appendix in thirty-eight years old male patient who had been suffered from abdominal pain palpable mass in right lower quadrant for 7 days. Appendectomy was performed and the
diagnosis
of
adenocarcinoma with invasion of serosa was made. And then, right hemicolecotmy was performed.
